Life-safety disclaimer. OutagePing is a consumer alerting aid, not a certified safety, security, or medical system. Alerts can be delayed or fail for reasons outside our control — power loss to the phone, dead battery, no cellular/Wi-Fi coverage, carrier or third-party outages, device or OS behavior, or misconfiguration. Do not rely on OutagePing as the sole safeguard for life-critical equipment or situations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from a missed, delayed, or false alert.

The service

The OutagePing app detects loss of charger power and raises local alerts. OutagePing Pro adds a cloud service that wakes the people you have allowed to watch that phone, in their own copy of OutagePing. You are responsible for setting those people up correctly, keeping the monitoring phone charged and connected, and testing the setup.

Acceptable use

Watching is consented to by the watcher: they install the app, sign in, and enter a code you give them, and either of you can end it at any time. Do not use the service to harass, spam, or send messages to people who have not agreed to be contacted. We apply fair-use limits (see pricing) and may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the messaging features.

Purchases & subscriptions

Payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. The App is a one-time purchase; Pro is a subscription that renews until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; see our refund policy.

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
