Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

Life-safety disclaimer. OutagePing is a consumer alerting aid, not a certified safety, security, or medical system. Alerts can be delayed or fail for reasons outside our control — power loss to the phone, dead battery, no cellular/Wi-Fi coverage, carrier or third-party outages, device or OS behavior, or misconfiguration. Do not rely on OutagePing as the sole safeguard for life-critical equipment or situations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from a missed, delayed, or false alert.

The service

The OutagePing app detects loss of charger power and raises local alerts. OutagePing Pro adds a cloud service that notifies your configured contacts by SMS and phone call. You are responsible for configuring contacts correctly, keeping the monitoring phone charged and connected, and testing the setup.

Acceptable use

You confirm that every emergency contact has consented to receive automated alerts from you. Do not use the service to harass, spam, or send messages to people who have not agreed to be contacted. We apply fair-use limits (see pricing) and may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the messaging features.

Purchases & subscriptions

Payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. The App is a one-time purchase; Pro is a subscription that renews until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; see our refund policy.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
